  Wayne Brown

A very young Wayne Brown makes his entry into a life-long love affair with music starting as an accordionist. The accordion gets set aside in favor of a drum kit once The Beatles emerge on the scene. Wayne continues to enjoy all the notoriety and "fun" that playing in local bands provide. As Wayne becomes a seasoned "Battle of the Bands" veteran, he moves from the drums to the front of the stage as lead vocalist, and once again re-invents himself (instrumentally) by becoming a guitar slinger. Around this point in time Wayne grabs a bigger piece of center stage real estate by performing some sizable roles in local musicals...Tony in West Side Story (1970)... Sir Lancelot in Camelot (1971)... Jesus (that ain't no wig!) in Jesus Christ Superstar (1972-73)... The Hunter in Manfred (1974-75).

During the 70's, Wayne co-founded the band Twisted Sister (1973) with Mel Anderson, Billy Diamond, Tony Bunn, and Steve Guarino (1910 Fruit Gum Company). Wayne went on to join the original rock band Tarot on guitar and lead vocal. Tarot released the single "Jonathan" on the CarMel Record label and received air play on WPLJ. Tarot played numerous concerts along with an unprecedented run of sixteen shows in one week at The Bitter End in NYC. Tarot also included the now legendary Blues guitarist, Billy Hector. Billy also joined forces with Wayne in the band Little Silver and later the two artists would perform as a duo.

As if all this wasn't enough, Wayne also managed to pursue his solo career singing and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar. Wayne also did a stint with the band Caribou, joined by Dennis Miele currently of the band Jobonano & The Godsons of Soul. In the late 70's, Wayne founded the band Spring Fever which included Michael Scialfa. Spring Fever later morphed into The Fuse with the addition of Frankie Bandiera on drums.

The 80's found Wayne raising a family and diligently pursuing a Doctorate in Chiropractic and Board Certification in Pain Management; quite a departure for a man who couldn't find time to do homework in the 70's! Never able to leave music behind, Wayne resurrected The Fuse in 2005.
